Manufacturing facility sold for $5.4M in leaseback deal

A 42,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Marlborough has been sold to a Lexington real estate firm for almost $5.4 million.

The facility, home to metrology equipment manufacturer Adcole Corp., was purchased by Lexington-based Azad Legacy Partners in a deal closed Friday. 

According to a property flyer, the company with international operations will be executing a 10-year leaseback at the property to stay headquartered in Marlborough.

The property at 669 Forest St. was built for Adcole Corp. more than 35 years ago and was last assessed for just over $4 million.
