Lower Taxes + Less Regulation = More Confidence?

Economic improvement after the Great Recession has been slow and disappointing to many employers, according to Associated Industries of Massachusetts. As if to underscore that, confidence among consumers, who drive much of the nation’s economic fortunes, can’t seem to find solid traction.

When we asked this Flash Poll question about consumer confidence the week of June 10, we expected more respondents to cite a lack of spending. But the results directed a lot of blame in the direction of government.
