Data sciences company Location, Inc. has opened its new headquarters in a newly renovated space in the Mercantile Center.
The location-based analytics firm explored other areas for new offices, but settled on the downtown Worcester space to the city’s access to the technology talent pipeline, affordable living and public transportation, Founder and CEO Andrew Schiller said in a statement.
“Worcester’s promise of an increasingly vibrant downtown and business community makes it the perfect choice for our growing company,” Schiller said.
The 4,600-square-foot space on the fourth floor of the Mercantile Center at 120 Front St. is just a short distance away from its former offices at 86 Shrewsbury St.
The company first announced its move in November .
The move is another win for Franklin Realty Advisors, developers of the Mercantile Center, which has been marketing the renovated building.
“Our building at 120 Front Street is a strong strategic site for innovative businesses like Location, Inc. that are seeking a central vantage point in an urban setting close to a transportation hub and surrounded by neighborhood amenities,” said Chip Norton, president of Franklin Realty Advisors, last November. “We are excited to welcome Location, Inc. and their employees to our downtown community.”
