Two local sporting stores are combining forces as Guertin Trophy of Auburn will change its name to City Trophy Co. to reflect its partnership with City Sporting Goods of Worcester.
According to a press release, “By combining forces, all of Guertin Trophy’s clothing will be processed by City Sporting Goods and all of City Sporting Goods’ trophies and awards will be processed by Guertin Trophy.”
Guertin Trophy will take on the name of City Trophy but will continue doing business under both names for about a year, said Tony Zannotti, president of Guertin Trophy Co.
City Trophy, through the partnership, will offer stock and custom uniforms and other sporting equipment, while offering larger, more complicated plaque orders and laser engraving.
