The New York Times Co. – which owns the Worcester Telegram & Gazette and the Boston Globe – has entered into an agreement with Monster Worldwide Inc. to co-brand online job advertising for 19 of its newspapers.
The co-branded sites will begin appearing on the New York Times-owned newspaper Web sites in March.
By partnering with Monster, NYT is following in the footsteps of the Tribune Co. and Gannett Co., both newspaper publishers, which co-own CareerBuilder.com Inc., another online classified advertising company.
To date, Monster has signed agreements with media companies representing 60 daily newspapers and eight television properties in the U.S., reaching a total circulation of more than 5.6 million in newspaper readers.
