Worcester’s Clark University made the honor roll for its environmental and sustainability practices, according to an assessment of national colleges conducted by Cambridge-based Sustainable Endowments Institute.
The institute’s annual “green report card,” which analyzed more than 330 colleges across the country in many categories, gave Clark a B+ rating overall. The school received A’s in five categories: climate change & energy, food & recycling, green building, shareholder engagement and investment priorities.
The other categories analyzed were: administration, transportation, student involvement, endowment transparency and investment priorities.
The average grade awarded was a C+ and only 26 schools ranked ahead of Clark.
