Announcing its second store opening in little more than a week, Littleton-based equestrian retailer Dover Saddlery Retail Inc. says it plans to open its first store in North Carolina in October.
The new store, in Raleigh, will offer English tack, saddles, riding apparel and horse care items.
"We look forward to serving the equestrian community in North Carolina," said President and CEO Stephen L. Day. "Our mail order customers have been asking us for a long time to open a store in the Raleigh-Durham area and we are delighted that we are now able to fulfill this request."
The announcement follows last week's, which said the company will launch a Medina, Minn., store in September. According to the Dover's website, it already has 15 retail stores in 12 states throughout the United States.
