Littleton-based equestrian supplies retailer Dover Saddlery Inc. said first quarter revenue hit $16.2 million, a decline of 1.1 percent from the same period a year earlier.
The company said some of the lost revenue was the result of severe winter weather in areas that are normally home to significant equestrian activity.
The company lost $193,000 during the quarter compared to a loss of $590,000 a year prior.
Dover management said “stringent cost-cutting measures” have allowed the company to improve its bottom line during recent weak quarters.
