Boston-based Liberty Mutual Group has made a $30,000 donation to the American Society of Safety Engineers to further occupational safety and health research through the company's Research Institute for Safety facility in Hopkinton.
The research is conducted through the support of the Liberty Mutual Research Fellowship Program, an initiative aimed at promoting active research in occupational safety. The fellowship program selects research fellows to spend four to six weeks at the Hopkinton site, receiving stipends for living expenses as they conduct their research. The foundation is accepting applicants for the program through February 1st.
