Dear Editor:
I write to clarify the quotes attributed to Quinsigamond Community College’s assistant vice president of enrollment management in the Sept. 27, 2010, edition of the Worcester Business Journal article entitled, “Education’s ROI: Feds place spotlight on student debt.” In the article, a misperception has been created specific to the transferability of Salter College credits to other colleges. While it is true that QCC cannot accept Salter College credits through transfer, we at QCC do not wish to imply that no other college will accept Salter credits. To the extent our comments may have led to that conclusion, QCC apologizes. Further, contrary to the assistant vice president’s comments, QCC has no knowledge as to what information Salter College provides to its students regarding credit transferability. QCC regrets any confusion or misperception that may have arisen as the result of the quotes attributed to it in the article.
Josh Martin
Director of Institutional Communications, Quinsigamond Community College
