The automotive group AAA has sold for $2.2 million a commercial plaza where it had an office in Leominster.
The 20,000-square-foot plaza was sold to a limited liability corporation tied to Eastport Real Estate Services of Wakefield. The sale closed April 23.
AAA has since moved its Leominster office to Water Tower Plaza on North Main Street.
The small plaza includes the New England Eye Center, and has previously been the home of the skating shop Eastern Boarder. It stands next to the Leominster Village plaza, with a Starbucks, Men's Warehouse, Subway and others, and just down Commercial Road from the Mall at Whitney Field.
Eastport Real Estate Services has redesigned the plaza's facade is listing a lease of up to 14,000 square feet. Eastport also has properties in Marlborough, Westborough and Natick.
The two-acre property was last assessed at $1.4 million.
