The Four Points Hotel by Sheraton in Leominster has traded hands and will convert to a Double Tree, the hotel’s general manager, Suzanne Farias, said Wednesday.
Farias declined to provide further details, saying a formal announcement will be released soon, but the Registry of Deeds shows Driftwood Hospitality Management sold the 135,004-square-foot hotel for $5.1 million Aug. 1.
According to a brief announcement on the hotel’s website, it will be leaving the Starwood Hotels and Resorts system Aug. 20. Starwood is a high-end hotel company whose nine brands include Westin, Sheraton, Four Points and W Hotels.
According to the registry, the 187-room hotel was purchased by 99 Erdman Way Holdings LLC, owned by CW Capital Asset Management of Needham.
Built in 1989, the hotel’s amenities include a fitness center, heated indoor and outdoor pools, two restaurants, a bar, and outdoor garden pavilion.
