Town & Country Apartments, a 248-unit complex on the Fitchburg-Leominster line, has sold for $23 million.
The buyer is a limited liability corporation registered to the co-founders of Chartwell Holdings, an owner of multifamily properties. The firm didn't respond to a message seeking comment.
The sellers were a variety of entities, including a limited liability corporation registered to Marc DiGeronimo of 196 Whalon St. in Fitchburg.
The sale, which closed Jan. 31, prices each of the units at Town & Country Apartments at roughly $93,000.
The complex sits behind the Twin City Plaza off Whalon Street, with the northern half sitting in Fitchburg and the rest in Leominster. The cities last assessed the complex at a total of $9.4 million.
