The property with a Buick GMC and Cadillac dealership at 495 Main St. in Leominster was sold for $4.3 million to Richard Durand, who owns another dealership in Hudson, according to the Worcester North District Registry of Deeds.
The 3.7-acre dealership was sold by Joel and Elizabeth Baker. Joel Baker previously owned Baker Cadillac at the location in Leominster.
In 2019, Baker and Richard Durand, who owns Durand Chevrolet in Hudson, acquired Buick GMC in Leominster to create Durand Buick GMC Cadillac on Main Street. In the acquisition, Durand was the majority shareholder.
In the most recent real estate transfer, it appears Baker sold the 3.7 acres of the dealership he owned to Durand.
Baker is listed on the Durand Cadillac dealership website as dealer principal and co-owner. The dealership has been in business for more than 30 years at the Leominster location, according to the website.
The nearly four-acre property is assessed at $1.3 million, according to the City of Leominster assessors’ data. It was last sold to Baker in 1995 for $810,000.
