If a new quarterly hiring trends report holds true, the legal industry is poised to see a significant recovery in 2010.
The report, produced by legal staffing firm Robert Half Legal, said 26 percent of lawyers plan to hire full-time staff over the next three months, 41 percent believe it’s difficult to find skilled legal professionals and 80 percent are confident that their firms will grow during the second quarter.
The survey was based on phone interviews with 100 lawyers at firms of 20 or more employees, and 100 corporate lawyers at companies with 1,000 or more employees.
