The Worcester Regional Chamber of Commerce is seeking applicants to fill 25 spaces in its 2022 Leadership Worcester program, the organization announced on Friday.
The program will run a nine-month program from September to May, during which participants will learn about their community, in part by engaging with local leaders to better understand the region’s challenges and opportunities. In monthly sessions, participants will be given a look behind the scenes of the city’s institutions and hidden gems.
Leadership Worcester, now in its seventh year, has graduated more than 150 professionals in Greater Worcester across a variety of sectors.
“The continued success of Worcester’s vibrant business community depends on programs like Leadership Worcester to prepare the next generation of talented leaders,” said Timothy Murray, president and CEO of the Worcester Regional Chamber of Commerce, in a statement. “As we’ve seen over the last year, the COVID-19 pandemic has only reinforced the importance of having strong and effective leaders in our communities,”
Applications are available online and due by May 28. Those interested should visit www.leadershipworcester.com.
