Leominster Credit Union has promoted Barbara Mahoney, its senior vice president of human resources, to chief operating officer.
Mahoney enters her 16th year with the financial institution with the added responsibility of oversight of information technology and operations. She will continue to manage the human resources and facilities departments.
She will support President & CEO John O’Brien as a member of the senior management team.
In a statement, O’Brien said Mahoney has helped to build a culture of engaged and motivated employees.
“I am confident that she will continue to make a positive impact on our institution in her new role,” he said.
In addition to her roles at LCU, Mahoney is chair of the board for the Employers Association of the Northeast and MassHire North Central Workforce Board.
She serves on the Foundation Committee for the St. Bernard’s Central Catholic High School in Fitchburg.
