Two from Worcester, a lawyer and a reporter, were honored at the annual Excellence in the Law celebration sponsored by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly and the Massachusetts Bar Association Thursday.
Gary V. Murray, a reporter at the Worcester Telegram & Gazette, received the excellence in legal journalism award.
Margaret C. Winchester of the Committee for Public Counsel Services in Worcester, which oversees the provision of legal representation for the poor, was chosen as a Lawyers Weekly lawyer of the year.
