Resource Management, Inc., a family-owned human resources outsourcing company in Fitchburg, announced founder and current CEO Reinaldo Lopez will step into a new role as director of sales while his daughter and current company president, Rachel Lopez, takes on the CEO.
"I look forward to continuing my father’s legacy," Rachel Lopez said in the written announcement. "My vision is to continue adding value to our clients and their employees as their dedicated HR partner, so they can focus on what they love to do and continue to be successful.”
RMI is the largest minority-owned business in Central Massachusetts, with 629 employees, according to a survey the company filled out for the WBJ Research Department, and Reinaldo Lopez owns 100% of the company.
Reinaldo Lopez will continue serving on the company's board of directors while Rachel is at the helm. The leadership transition was effective the same day as the announcement, which is dated Sept. 1.
“Rachel will continue to provide the excellent leadership that has gained the respect and appreciation of all our team members,” Reinaldo Lopez said in a statement. "I am both proud and excited that she will be continuing the RMI legacy.”
