Reliant Medical Group has been playing something like a game of musical chairs lately, only with offices.
The healthcare provider has been re-arranging its offices in and around Worcester, with no space as large as the 120,000-square-foot office that Reliant will open to patients Monday.
The offices at 5 Neponset St., next to the Greendale Mall, will include adult and pediatric primary care and specialty services including behavioral medicine, dermatology, podiatry and radiology.
Reliant Medical Group has been working since last year to combine a number of existing Central Massachusetts locations into newer facilities as leases expire. That has opened opportunities for the company to design new spaces to better fit its needs, it said.
In several locations, Reliant has moved or will move into former retail spaces, including a former Macy's home goods location at the Auburn Mall, a former Price Chopper in Shrewsbury, a former Linens 'n Things in Westborough and a former Sports Authority in Milford.
Services are being shifted to the Neponset Street location from five existing locations in Worcester: 135 Gold Star Blvd., 300 Grove St., 191 May St., 425 Lake Avenue North, and 630 Plantation St.
Not all services at those locations will go to Neponset Street, however.
Rehabilitation and sports medicine services at 135 Gold Star Blvd. will go to another new location, at 50 Gold Star Blvd., starting Oct. 29. Adult medicine and laboratory services at 425 Lake Avenue North will shift to yet another new location, at 378 Maple Ave. in Shrewsbury, next March. Gastroenterology will be relocated to the Auburn Mall next April. Pediatrics, laboratory and radiology services now at 630 Plantation St. will also shift to the new Shrewsbury location next March.
