Sonny Phengsomphone, the co-owner of the Lush Nail Lounge in Northborough, has launched his second Central Massachusetts business, this one a cybersecurity firm housed inside the WorcLab incubator in Worcester.
BitSpartan Security launched this spring, the company announced in a press release dated April 1. Phengsomphone opened the business in the memory of his sister, who died in a Thailand refugee camp while migrating to the U.S., and in honor of his 62-year-old mother.
The company reserved an office in the fourth floor WorcLab space in the Printers Building at 44 Portland St.
“BitSpartan Security is a cybersecurity consulting firm created to help organizations of all sizes tackle the challenge of today’s cybersecurity threats and those of tomorrow,” said Sonny Phengsomphone, owner and managing director of BitSpartan Security, in a written statement. “We offer cyber risk management, compliance, and governance services with the goal of being a one-stop shop for all cybersecurity needs.”
Cybersecurity issues have affected several businesses throughout the country, with local businesses such as UMass Memorial Health affected by cyber breaches in the past few years.
