Lancaster property with tractor dealership sells for $2.3M

The property on which a John Deere tractor dealership operates off Route 2 in Lancaster has sold for $2.3 million to a New Jersey realty trust firm.

The buyer, Essential Properties Realty Trust, bought the site of United Ag & Turf at 700 Fort Pond Road. The nearly nine-acre site, formerly Padula Brothers, was owned by a limited liability corporation registered to Caroline Mansfield of Athol.

The sale closed Nov. 4.

The site was last assessed by the Town of Lancaster at just over $2.1 million. It last sold for $1 million in 2012, before the dealership was built.
