Lack Of Planning, Foresight Doomed Fishing Tourney

To The Editor:

I could not believe the sad tale on this issue. Riverfront Recapture’s Mr. (Joe) Marfuggi knew that a $75,000 site fee was required in 2006 and I would have expected him to realize that it would be required in 2008. Talk of a “streamlined process” seems specious given almost two years to plan. Your article treated the missed opportunity far more sympathetically than I would have considered appropriate. Once again, we miss out because of lack of planning and foresight, not due to lack of a “streamlined process”, and them blame the “system”.
