Los Angeles entertainment accounting, payroll and service provider Media Services Inc. has acquired Southborough-based CrewStar Inc.
CrewStar offers movie and television production crew payroll, search and booking services.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Media Services said the acquisition will help its clients outsource their freelance production crews and equipment, and will give the company a foothold in New England.
The company said CrewStar’s management and employees are remaining on staff. Joe Maiella, CrewStar’s senior vice president of sales and marketing, will hold the same role at Media Services and will be responsible for business development.
