Kronos says it’s closing in on $1B in revenue

Chelmford-based workforce management firm Kronos Inc. announced financial results for the first quarter of 2014 that included an 18-percent increase in earnings and a revenue gain of 9 percent over fiscal 2013.

The private company said in a statement that revenue totaled $243.4 million, while earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) were $78.7 million.

The 'exclusive' $1B mark

Kronos CEO Aron Ain said in a statement that a strong start to fiscal 2014 was supported by the company’s investment in key strategic areas, including extending cloud solutions, expanding market expertise, and bolstering global product capabilities.

“Kronos will soon celebrate crossing the exclusive $1 billion revenue mark as we continue our journey of strong growth,” Ain said.

In November, Kronos reported revenue of $975 million, a record for the company, and earnings of $314 million.
