The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) has deployed Chelmsford-based workforce management software maker Kronos Inc.’s TeleStaff software solution to manage scheduling for 34 institutions and a contract facility, according to a company statement released Wednesday.
The CDCR, one of the largest state government agencies in the nation, according to Kronos, will standardize more than 35,000 staff schedules and create greater accountability of overtime costs and usage of paid time off, according to the company. The agency expects to save $1.5 million annually by implementing the software.
“The Kronos TeleStaff solution has helped us achieve significant benefits through complete automation and standardization. As a result, we are able to spend taxpayer dollars more efficiently,” said Joe Panora, director of enterprise information services for the CDCR.
