Kopin secures $1.6M fighter jet order

Westborough electronics manufacturer Kopin Corp. has announced a $1.7-million follow-on order from the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter program.
The order is for the company’s high-brightness liquid crystal display for the F-35 program. With the jet scheduled for production through 2030, Kopin expects additional orders over the life of the program, according to the release. Kopin is the sole provider of displays to the program.
The order extends the company’s backlog of scheduled deliveries into the first quarter.
