Worcester’s first kombucha taproom is slated to open at 3 Brussels St., thanks to license board approval on Thursday.
The taproom will be opened by KrafTea Kombucha Owner Matthew Glidden, who spoke at the license commission meeting. KrafTea is a kombucha brewery located at 38 Harlow St., and will transfer its entire operations to Brussels Street to open up a taproom, as well.
Glidden said the new space will seat 20 patrons indoors and potentially host acoustic musical acts, stand-up comedy, and poetry readings.
KraftTea Kombucha, which is a fermented tea with 2% ABV, is sold by the glass at 11 bars and taprooms throughout Central Massachusetts, according to its website.
The Brussels Street space is located within a former mill complex next to Acoustic Java Roastery & Tasting Room.
