Worcester-based Seven Hills Foundation on Friday announced Kathleen Jordan, executive vice president and CEO of the organization, would take on leadership of the organization following President David Jordan’s retirement on July 1.
“I am humbled by the opportunity to lead this great organization that is filled with people who share my deep commitment to the individuals we serve,” Kathleen Jordan said in a Friday press release from the organization. “I have experienced firsthand the amazing growth of Seven Hills over the last 19 years as we have expanded and adapted our services to meet the needs of people across New England.”
Kathleen Jordan joined Seven Hills in 2003 and served as vice president of advancement from 2006 to 2010. In 2019, she was promoted to executive vice president and CEO of Seven Hills with the primary duties of overseeing the daily work of the organization’s 15 affiliates.
After David Jordan’s retirement, Kathleen’s new title will be president and CEO. David and Kathleen are married.
In addition to her role at Seven Hills, Jordan is an adjunct professor and capstone advisor at Clark University in Worcester, where she teaches courses on health care and nonprofit management. She serves as board chair of the Massachusetts Association of Developmental Disabilities Providers in Framingham and is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives in Chicago.
On Dec. 19, Seven Hills announced the planned retirement of David Jordan on June 30. He is not stepping away from the organization completely, as he will take over leadership of the Crotched Mountain School in Greenfield, New Hampshire, which Seven Hills acquired in November.
Tracing its roots back to 1953, Seven Hills Foundation and Affiliates is the largest human services nonprofit in Central Massachusetts with $263 million in assets and $303 million in revenue as of June 30, 2021, according to data provided to the WBJ Research Department by the organization.
