Judge Orders Action Oil Refunds

A Worcester Superior Court judge has ordered an Oxford oil company to issue refunds to prepaid customers for any oil they did not receive, Massachusetts Attorney General Martha Coakley’s office announced.

The judge’s preliminary injunction also prohibits Kalami Fuels Inc. from doing business under the name Action Oil & Septic and prevents its owner, George Papageorge, from destroying any records of its operations.

Coakley’s office is seeking more than $75,000 in restitution to victims and civil penalties.

Papageorge and Action Oil are accused of entering unfair heating oil contracts and failing to deliver.
