One media executive will be packing it in as of November 1. The Journal Register Co., the Yardley, Pa.-based media company that owns the New Britain Herald, New Haven Register and several other area newspapers, announced that Chairman and CEO Robert M. Jelenic will step down. Jelenic had been on a leave of absence since June 8. James W. Hall, acting chief executive officer, will assume the responsibility of chairman and CEO.
