Job openings edge down

Job openings have dipped 4 percent in the second quarter this year compared to the same time last year, according to an employment index by JobsInTheUS.com. The dip is attributed to weaker housing and auto markets. Contrasting the dip is a 22 percent increase in the company’s Web site visits compared to the same time in 2006. Health care, customer support and manufacturing have the most recruitment postings.
