It isn’t getting any easier to find qualified candidates for IT jobs, according to the results of a recent Robert Half Technology survey.
Half asked IT managers if it was more or less challenging to find skilled job candidates than it was a year ago and 77 percent said it was either just as challenging, somewhat more challenging or much more challenging.
Most, 52 percent, said difficulty finding good candidates is the result of an overall shortage of qualified IT workers. Others said their companies don’t offer competitive pay or career advancement opportunities.
Half, an international temporary employment firm, said shortages are most apparent in applications development, web development and network administration.
