Worcester's Jewish Healthcare Center's home care and hospice administrative offices have moved into new space just down the street from its Salisbury Street campus after outgrowing its former offices.
The new offices, at 646 Salisbury St., total 5,600 square feet. The office staff of more than 20 moved in at the end of October.
Jewish Healthcare Center runs a home health service for more than 1,800 patients and an in-home hospice program that cares for about 80 patients per day. It runs a long-term care center, a dementia care unit, a recovery and rehabilitation program, and an assisted living center.
The 102-year-old center got its start, as its name implies, treating the Worcester area's Jewish community, but now covers the whole population. The agency has 445 full- and part-time staff, plus another 85 at the affiliated Eisenberg Assisted Living.
