Travelers flying out of Worcester Regional Airport soon will have extra opportunities to arrive at two Florida destinations.

JetBlue will add extra flights on select days from Worcester to Orlando International Airport in April in an attempt to meet heightened demand during the spring break season. JetBlue now offers one nonstop flight per day out of Worcester to Orlando International Airport, and the airline will increase flights to two per day in April on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.

The airline’s boost in flights to Orlando comes as JetBlue said it will add flights to Southwest Florida International Airport in Fort Myers, increasing departures from two flights per week as of Oct. 27 to one flight per day from Feb. 13 through April 29, according to JetBlue’s website.

Starting April 1, Worcester-to-Orlando flights on those select days will depart at 12:37 p.m. and 3:09 p.m. and Mondays and Wednesdays will have just the 3:09 p.m. departure. The last day of the month, Wednesday April 30, will have one flight at 2:27 p.m.. All flights will last just over three hours with tickets starting at $110 at the time this article was published.

Returning flights from Orlando will depart at 9:02 a.m. and 11:26 a.m. Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays with just the 11:26 a.m. scheduled for Wednesdays and Saturdays. The last day of the month also has one flight at 10:55 a.m. All flights will last just under three hours with tickets starting at $114 at the time this article was published.

“JetBlue is constantly evaluating our network to best serve our customers, return our airline to profitability, and find ways to improve our reliability. Routes from Worcester will continue to be evaluated regularly to ensure our schedules are aligned with customer demand,” JetBlue’s corporate communications office wrote in an email to WBJ.
