Jersey Mike’s Subs, the New Jersey-based sandwich chain, opened Wednesday at 1 Oak St. in Westborough under owner of the Shrewsbury location, Tyler Tombs.
The store’s Wednesday opening will kick off its fundraiser for the Bridging Over to Right Opportunities Program, which provides transition-related support for Westborough Public School graduates with special needs, according to the company’s Monday press release announcing the opening.
Ending Sunday, customers who produce a coupon at the register can contribute a minimum of $3 when they purchase a regular sub. Prior to the opening, Tombs participated in distributing coupons.
Jersey Mike’s has held numerous fundraising efforts. Notably, in March it generated $20 million for the 2022 Special Olympics USA Games.
