Jan. 28, 2008 -- Movers and Shakers

Carlin, Charron & Rosen named Robert Charron chairman of the board. Charron had previously been managing partner of the firm. David Platt was named managing partner of the firm to succeed Charron. Platt is partner in the assurance and advisory services department of the firm.

Mindy S. Tompkins, associate at Reid and Riege in Hartford, was admitted to the Bar in Massachusetts.

Centerplan Development Co. in Hartford hired Kerry Wood as director of marketing. Wood was previously marketing associate and global Web master at Momentive Performance Materials.

Hoffmann Architects Inc. hired Deborah J. Costantini as project architect, Robert A. Marsoli Jr. as project coordinator, and Alison B. Hoffmann as public relations coordinator. Costantini was previously project architect at Wiles Architect, Marsoli was formerly project engineer at Rongoe Engineers and Hoffmann was adjunct professor of English at Southern Connecticut State University.

Nicholas A. Rinaldi was named controller at Connecticut Water Service Inc. Rinaldi was previously controller at Iroquois Gas Transmission System.

CIGNA Pharmacy Management in Bloomfield named Sallie Sullivan vice president of sales. Prior to her appointment, Sullivan was vice president of sales at CuraScript Inc.

John P. Casey was promoted to counsel at Robinson & Cole in Hartford. Casey was previously associate at the firm.

Patricia Pickering was hired at Athena Health Care Systems in Southington as corporate dietitian. Pickering was formerly clinical dietitian at Avery Heights.

Pratt & Whitney Global Service Partners in East Hartford appointed Chan Kwai Wan general manager of the Shanghai Pratt & Whitney Aircraft Engine Maintenance Co. Before his promotion, Wan was lean manager for the company’s engine overhaul centers.

Edward G. Sullivan, partner and director of the audit department at Whittlesey & Hadley in Hartford, was named chairman of the nonprofit committee at PKF North American Network for 2008.

The Children’s Museum in West Hartford announced Elaine McDonald as chairperson. McDonald was formerly founder of The McDonald Group. Larry Hartshorn was elected treasurer. Hartshorn is currently head of the data warehouse & electronic tools division at Aetna.
