Jabil Circuit Inc., the parent company of Clinton-based Nypro Inc., reported net revenue of $4.3 billion for the quarter, a 20 percent jump from the second quarter of 2014.
Florida-based Jabil makes casings for Apple phones, among other products.
“I am extremely pleased with our strong operational performance during the quarter. We’re having a great year, as we remain focused on our key priorities” including earnings growth and delivering innovative solutions to customers, said CEO Mark T. Mondello. “We continue to have success in diversifying our business, which I believe will increase our resiliency during this time of ever-increasing change in the markets we serve.”
Wednesday’s report said Jabil’s operating income for the second quarter was $124.9 million and net diluted earnings per share was $0.27.
Electronics manufacturing brought $2.6 billion in revenue for the quarter, while the company’s diversified manufacturing services brought $1.7 billion.
“I am pleased to say that we are squarely on track to deliver targeted revenue and earnings for the fiscal year,” Mondello said. The company maintained its fiscal year 2015 revenue outlook of $17.5 to $18.5 billion.
