Jabil Circuit Inc., the parent company of Clinton-based Nypro Inc., reported preliminary third-quarter net revenue of $4.4 billion on Wednesday. That is a 15 percent rise from the third quarter of fiscal 2014, when net revenue was $3.8 billion.
“We continue to make great progress as we further diversify our business, and our fiscal third quarter is another good indication that we’re executing against our growth strategy,” CEO Mark T. Mondello said in the statement.
Florida-based Jabil makes casings for iPhones, among other products. Mondello cited the company’s Electronics Manufacturing Services segment as delivering strong operating performance, and said its Diversified Manufacturing Services segment increased revenue by 41 percent year over year.
Jabil’s operating income for the third quarter of fiscal 2015 was $135.4 million, the company said, and net earnings were $0.37 per share.
Mondello said the company is on track to deliver about 13 percent revenue growth this fiscal year, while continuing to invest for future growth, adding that's “quite an accomplishment when one considers the current macro environment.”
