IT employees are less confident about their futures than they’ve been in at least four years, according to a new survey.
The IT Employee Confidence Index, released by Technisource, the technology placement division of Spherion Corp., shows a 0.7 point drop to 39.7 in the first quarter of the year. That’s the lowest the index has been since it was created in the fourth quarter of 2005.
Workers are more uncertain about the economy, the job market and their personal employment situation, the survey says, but they are also more likely to look for a job in the next year.
