The Ar-Raheem Academy of Waltham has purchased the former Frye Family Estate in Marlborough for $3.8 million.
The 2.4 acre property at 197-207 Pleasant St. contains three buildings, totalling 37,666 square feet, including the mansion where the founders of popular boot company, The Fry Co. once lived, according to a Wednesday press release by Worcester real estate firm, NAI Glickman Kovago & Jacobs who represented the buyer in the deal.
The largest building has most recently been used as a rest home for the Sisters of St. Chretienne.
The Ar-Raheem Academy was founded in 2016 and is the only Islamic school in New England combining both Islamic education with general curriculum, according to the school’s website. The academy expects to enroll more than 100 students in 2022.
