Wisetek, an information-technology asset disposition company based in Cork, Ireland, has opened a new 42,000-square-foot facility in Northborough.
The company provides the secure disposal of IT hardware and recycles or resells the assets.
The facility at 20 Forbes Road, Unit C, will service the company’s national and multinational clients as well as local private clients, according to a Tuesday press release from the company.
In addition, Wisetek Market, the company’s refurbished equipment sales division will keep stock at the location.
"Wisetek is incredibly proud to announce the establishment of this new facility in Massachusetts, which will enable us to grow our presence in the region. This development speaks to the rapid growth of Wisetek and the ITAD sector as a whole, as more and more organizations are realizing the importance of implementing fit for purpose processes in this area, in order to ensure security, compliance and sustainability. We look forward to growing Wisetek's business in the USA, as well as continuing to expand internally in the years to come,” CEO Sean Sheehan said in the press release.
Wisetek was founded in 2007, employs 200 people at four locations in the United States, and expects to grow that number to 300. The company employs 450 people worldwide.
