IPG Photonics, a laser manufacturing company based in Oxford, purchased two properties, one for $5.8 million and one for $2 million, next to its Marlborough warehouses on Cedar Hill Street.
The properties were sold by a Massachusetts LLC registered to Alan Germain of Shrewsbury, according to the Southern Middlesex Registry of Deeds.
The building at 237 Cedar Hill St. previously housed FLIR Systems, Inc., an Oregon-based thermal imaging company, which has an office in North Billerica, according to its website.
AccessPlus Communications, Inc., a telecommunications access company, previously leased space at 249 Cedar Hill St.
The parcel at 237 Cedar Hill Street, which sold for $5.8 million, is assessed by the City of Marlborough to be worth $2.73 million. The second parcel at 249 Cedar Hill Street is assessed at $1.36 million.
Both parcels are about two acres and include an industrial warehouse, the larger of which is about 29,000 square feet and the smaller 19,000.
The sale closed July 19.
