Michael Byrnes, CEO of Auburn-based real estate firm Byrnes Real Estate Group, said he sees a trend of high demand for rental properties in Webster following his $3.5-million acquisition of a 10-property portfolio in the town.
“The rental demand is high in Webster, and I see this only continuing in the future,” Byrnes said via email on Monday. “I look forward to continuing to grow in the surrounding towns as I continue to build my portfolio.”
Byrnes already owned a number of buildings in the town, he said, making Thursday’s 10-property acquisition convenient for his existing maintenance and property management crews.
Byrnes is familiar with the area as he grew up in neighboring Dudley and is a graduate of Nichols College in Dudley.
“It’s nice to service a local town,” he said.
Byrnes founded Byrnes Real Estate Group in 2022. He is the CEO of Swarm Basketball, which operates across the United States and is the largest youth basketball program in the country, according to the firm’s website. Byrnes is a former assistant basketball coach at Worcester Polytechnic Institute and Nichols College.
