The Hanover Insurance Group Inc. of Worcester has added Harriett Tee Taggart to its board of directors.
Taggart is an investment specialist who also serves on the boards of two NYSE-listed chemical manufacturing companies, Albemarle Corp. and The Lubrizol Corp.
She also serves as a board member for nonprofit and professional organizations, including Reed College, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Planned Parenthood.
She worked at Wellington Management in Boston for more than 20 years, including 14 years as a partner, senior vice president and global investment manager. Before that, she held several public-sector management positions.
Taggart has a Ph.D. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, a master's degree from the Kennedy School at Harvard University and a bachelor's from Smith College.
