Nearly one in three CFOs think “integrity” is the most important quality a business leader should possess, according to a new survey by Robert Half Management Resources of Menlo Park, Calif. “Experience” and “communication skills” also ranked highly, with each getting 27 percent of the 1,400 responses recorded by the survey. The company said the emphasis on integrity was likely underscored by recent high profile lacks thereof, at least when it came to corporate governance and financial documentation.
