Chuck Alpuche, executive vice president and COO of Acton medical device manufacturer Insulet Corp. has been appointed to the board of Athol manufacturing firm The L.S. Starrett Co. according to a Monday press release.
Before joining Insulet in 2016, Alpuche was an independent consultant for food, beverage, and chemical companies. Prior to that, over the course of 30 years, he worked his way up to a senior vice president role for New York- headquartered PepsiCo.
Alpuche joins Insulet Vice President of Investor Relations Deborah Gordon, who was appointed to the L.S. Starrett board in 2020.
"We are pleased to welcome a leader with Chuck’s expertise and experience to the Starrett Board," said Douglas Starrett, chairman of Starrett’s Board of Directors, in the press release. "His leadership and experience with several major operational initiatives, improvements, and automation throughout his career will be invaluable to us as we endeavor to continue to meet the operational challenges facing us in this environment."
The L.S. Starrett Co. is a publicly traded manufacturing company, specializing in high-end precision tools, cutting equipment, and metrology systems. Laroy Starrett founded the company in 1880.
CORRECTION: An earlier version of this article referred to L.S. Starrett Co. as an Acton manufacturing firm. It is an Athol manufacturing firm.
