Information Storage Firm Makes 3 Acquisitions
Information storage and management services firm Iron Mountain Inc. has acquired companies in Chicago, Phoenix and Sarasota, Fla., it announced today.
The Boston-based company, which has 1,000 facilities worldwide, including in Northborough, did not disclose terms of the deal in which it purchased data protection firms IG2 Data Security Inc. in Chicago; Datapros Storage and Staffing LLC in Phoenix; and Data Backup Inc. in Sarasota.
"Acquisitions are a key component of our overall strategy to drive growth and returns on invested capital, and we will continue to seek opportunities that enhance our existing operations or expand our service footprint," said Harry Ebbighausen, president of North America for Iron Mountain.
Founded in 2002, IG2 Data Security has provides data protection and backup tape storage services to Chicago, northwest Indiana and southeastern Wisconsin. Meanwhile, Datapros Storage and Staffing LLC offers data protection and management services in Phoenix and Data Backup, founded in 1994, is a data storage and disaster recovery service providers for Western Florida.
