A Minnesota industrial X-ray imaging company has opened a laboratory in Marlborough to help diagnose problems with a machine’s internal components.
North Star Imaging announced its Marlborough office Tuesday, making it the company’s sixth location along with sites in Minnesota, California, Paris, England and China. The company’s Marlborough lab is located at 362 Elm St.
The company serves the manufacturing, aerospace, automatic, dental, medical, military and plastics markets. Typical requests include internal measurements, 3D CAD, porosity analysis, surface reconstructions for reverse engineering, finite element analysis and failure analysis, according to the company.
“North Star Imaging is extremely excited about this new operation. We are uniquely able to deliver our world-class inspection services, expedited turnaround, and support to our customers on the eastern seaboard," said Business Development Manager Eric Gingras in a separate January announcement of the facility opening, on the company’s website.
