Greater Boston vacancy rates stood at 14.4 percent for office space, 22 percent for R&D and 23.2 percent for industrial in the second quarter of the year, according to Real Estate services firm Jones Lang LaSalle.
The I-495 corridor had some of the highest industrial vacancy rates, with a rate of 30 percent in the northern 495 area and 30.8 percent in the southern part of the corridor.
In general, vacancies were higher along 495 than in the city itself. One exception was R&D space in the southern 495 area, where the rate was just 11.1 percent.
